Top 5 Tuesday: Books I want to reread in 2025

Top 5 Tuesday was created by Shanah at Bionic Book Worm, and now being hosted by Meeghan reads.

Hello!

I love the topic for this week as 2025 is the year I wanted to make an effort to reread some of my favourite books. Last year I didn’t really do any rereads and I missed it because rereading a favourite book is like sitting down for a chat with an old friend.

So here are my planned rereads for 2025.

I really want to reread more of the Discworld novels this year and I thought I would start with the City Watch books. I spent one year reading all the Discworld books in order of publication so this time I think I will read them in the groups.

I am absolutely obsessed with Tolkien and have read The Lord of the Rings many many times and I feel like it is time for a reread of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.

The Three Musketeers and Agnes Grey are two books that I have also read many many times and feel like a reread is needed.

What 5 books are you planning on rereading in 2025?

Top 5 Tuesday: Top 5 books I will definitely read in 2025

Top 5 Tuesday was created by Shanah at Bionic Book Worm, and now being hosted by Meeghan reads.

Hello!

Today has been a great day for reading which has been lovely and I have made good progress with my current reads.

I am trying to be good this year with whittling down my TBR pile so I think this is good topic for me this week. These are 5 books I fully plan on reading this year.

I really want to read more Alison Weir this year and this is one of my planned reads. Harry Sidebottom and Rosie Hewlett are new authors for me so I am hoping I’m hoping I enjoy these books.

What are 5 books you plan to read in 2025?

Top 5 Tuesday: Books Set in the Future

Top 5 Tuesday was created by Shanah at Bionic Book Worm, and now being hosted by Meeghan reads.

Hello!

I love this weeks topic because I do like a book set in the future as generally they are Sci-fi books and I love Sci-fi.

  1. Worst Martian Playlist by Corriea Garrett – I read this book in one sitting and I absolutely loved it. In fact I now want to reread it. It was a random find for me from a post I saw on a fellow bloggers site and I am so glad I found it.
  2. Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir – Andy Weir is definitely one of my favourite authors and I just find his books keep getting better and better. I love the characters he creates.
  3. Leviathan Wakes by James S. A. Corey – I include all of The Expanse series here because I just love the series. It is probably my favourite Sci-fi series.
  4. The Martian by Andy Weir – I love this Book!
  5. The True Meaning of Smekday by Adam Rex – I saw the film of this first and loved it and for our first Easter together my husband bought me the book to read.

I could have chosen a lot more books but I went for my favourites. What are your favourite books that are set in the future?

Please drop me a link if you have taken part in Top 5 Tuesday and I will head over for a visit.

Top Five Tuesday: Series I Want to Start

This meme is hosted by Shanah @  Bionic Book Worm. For more details head over to her blog.

I really liked the look of this weeks theme as there are loads of series I would like to start but I’m a bit naughty with books in a series and I tend to give up or read the books in the wrong order. So here are my Top Five Series I Want to Start…

1. The 100 Series by Kass Morgan

I own all the books in this series and they are currently sat on my TBR pile making me feel guilty for not starting them yet. I haven’t seen the TV series but my husband has watched them all.

2. The Expanse (Novel series) by James S. A. Corey

I love the TV series of this and I own the first book in the series which I really want to start as I love a sci-fi book.

3. Outlander by Diana Gabaldon

This is another series that I own but have never attempted reading but really want to but the first book is rather thick and tends to put me off slightly.

4. Languedoc Series by Kate Moss

I love the sound of this series and to be honest I’m not sure why I haven’t read them yet. Maybe something to start whilst in lockdown.

5. The Farseer Trilogy by Robin Hobb

45107

I have read some of Robin Hobb’s books in the past and really enjoyed them so would love to read this series.

So that is my Top Five Tuesday this week. Please drop me a link with your Top Five and please give me your thoughts on the series I have mentioned if you have read them.
