Twelve Carols of Christmas: Eighth Carol

Happy 2020!

May this year be everything you want it to be!

 

This carol I am not really very keen on singing or playing and will do anything possible to avoid it. However, I quite like the words so I have decided to include it.

 

Joy to the world

Joy to the world, the Lord is come!

let earth receive her King;

let every heart prepare him room,

and heaven and nature sing,

Joy to the world, the Saviour reigns!

let all their songs employ;

while fields and floods, rocks, hills and plains

repeat the sounding joy,

He rules the world with truth and grace,

and makes the nations prove

the glories of his righteousness

and wonders of his love,
