Hello!
After a bit of thought I have decided to dust off my NetGalley account again. I didn’t really use it last year because I had so many books in the house to read, but just recently I have missed my NetGalley account.
When I was using NetGalley regularly I discovered some wonderful books and authors that I have come to love and have read more of their work. The problem I had was that I became overwhelmed with the amount of books I had to review on NetGalley and I just gave up and left it alone.
So now I have decided to start using NetGalley again I have given myself strict rules. The rule is mainly to only request one book at a time and not request another one till I know whether I have been granted a copy to read or not. I will also not request any more books till I have read the one that I have been granted. Hopefully by following these rules I don’t become too overwhelmed.
I have requested my first book The Queen’s Rival by Anne O’Brien and I’m really excited about it as I have met the author in the past and I love her work. Fingers crossed I get it but I fully expect to be refused as I have been quiet for so long on NetGalley.
Hope to be posting some NetGalley reviews soon.
Good luck on getting it, Jess. I’ve set myself NetGalley rules too. 😉 I look at the publication date and limit myself to a maximum of 2 books per calendar month. I don’t request until my previous request has been accepted/declined.
