Happy Friday!
I hope everyone has had a good week so far.
My chosen poem this week is by the minister, hymn writer, theologian and logician, Isaac Watts (1674-1748).
Against Idleness and Mischief How doth the little busy Bee Improve each shining Hour, And gather Honey all the day From every opening Flower! How skilfully she builds her Cell! How neat she spreads the Wax! And labours hard to store it well With the sweet Food she makes. In Works of Labour or of Skill I would be busy too: For Satan finds some Mischief still For idle Hands to do. In Books, or Work, or healthful Play Let my first years be past, That I may give for every Day Some good Account at last. Isaac Watts
Happy Reading

I love this, and thanks so much for sharing this one! I’ve been reading Alice in Wonderland to my daughter on repeat for the past few months and have been wondering what the actual words to the little crocodile poem are, so I was delighted to see your post.

My daughter adores Alice, so we read it quite frequently. It’s such a fun story.
