Hello!
My first week in 2024 has been wonderful for reading. I am thoroughly enjoying my free time and rather dreading going back to work next week because I know I won’t be able to read so much.
What I am Currently Reading
I actually read two and a bit chapters of The Shadow Rising today so I am already ahead with my challenge of reading one chapter a day. I had forgotten just how good this book is but I did read it in 2014 for I have forgotten quite a bit. The Earl and the Pharaoh is a fascinating read and a real eye opener about how the super rich lived in the 1890’s.
What I have Recently Finished Reading
I crammed quite a few books in the last week of 2023 and here is three of them. I have the full set of the Penguin Classics little black books but have only read a few so it was good to tick a few more off the list.
What I Think I will Read Next
This year is all about reading the books I own and these are currently sat in a big pile waiting to be read.

Lady Book Dragon 
We’ve just started the second series of Wheel of Time and my aim is to read The Great Hunt alongside the series. Then hopefully, I’ll move onto book 3. I do want to reread the books that I own and hopefully finish the series which I didn’t manage before.

Thank you. We’ve been watching the series as well. My husband loves it but hasn’t read any of the books. I will be honest I wasn’t too impressed with the series but I hope you enjoy it.

The TV series and book 2 seem to have diverged completely😳 I’m about a third of the way through of the book and am undecided about whether to carry on

This was the problem I had! I just decided to continue with the books and ignore the TV series.

I’m supposed to be reading The Wheel of Time series with my husband. Right now, we are getting through one book a year. haha. I’m hoping after the baby starts sleeping through the night we can get through book 3 this year! Happy reading!

I’m determined to read the whole series this attempt. The only problem is the books seem to get bigger and bigger as they go along! I hope you manage to read book 3 this year!

Yeah, they get so chunky and makes it even more daunting. Especially, when they are not the most exciting read. Thank you! Good luck getting through them all this time!
