I haven’t done an Etsy update since February so I thought it was time to do another update. I have been busy with the shop and I have been creating new items to go in the shop.
I love these bookmarks because they are great for Halloween and for just witch lovers in general. They really remind me of some of my favourite characters from Terry Pratchett’s Discworld series.
This bookmark is something new that I am trying. The picture of Bath is one that I have taken and turned into a bookmark. I am planning on doing more of these bookmarks from other places I have visited.
I have more products arriving soon so watch this space.
I thought it was time for an Etsy update because I have been quite busy recently adding new products. I love my little shop and one of my aims for 2025 is to really build it up and add more products.
I love making new bookmarks for the shop but I must admit I do end up wanting them all for myself and have to resist because I will end up with way too many. I am like a magpie for shiny pretty bookmarks!
The Cake Cards have just landed in the shop over the last few days. I have made a few for private orders so I thought I would add them to my Etsy shop.
TBR Prompts
I have also done my first digital download in the shop which is TBR Prompts that you just download, print off and cut out all from your home. They are also currently on offer!
I am always struggling to work out what to read next so I came up with the prompts to help myself and decided to add them to my shop as well. I also still have the very popular book shaped TBR Tickets available in the shop.
It has been really busy recently with my Etsy shop and I am loving it. I am also throughly enjoying coming up with new designs of bookmarks and other products. As I have been quite busy on the creating front I thought I would share with you some of my latest creations.
Christmas Bookmarks
I now have 14 designs of Christmas bookmarks available in the shop.
I thought it was time for a post about all my activities that are not book related. Work has been back in full force after a lovely week off for half term. This has meant loads of teaching and organ playing. I have also been really busy with my Etsy which has been wonderful. October was my best month yet for my Etsy and I’m hoping it continues.
Walks
We have got back into our walking again and have been trying to go to different places for our walks. It has been nice to get out and about again and so I have also started playing Pokemon Go again and working on my Conqueror Challenge to Mordor again.
Afternoon Tea
For Christmas 2023 my parents gave my husband and myself a voucher for afternoon tea at Brokencote Hall and we finally got around to going. It was quite funny because my brother had also had a voucher and entirely by accident we ended up going on the same day and virtually the same time. I have never been to Brokencote Hall before but I absolutely loved the building and the afternoon tea.
RAF Museum Midlands
We love visiting Cosford so we decided to go for a visit because we haven’t been this year. I must admit I’m not so keen on some of the changes they have made recently especially because this means some of my favourite planes are no longer on display. I really hope my favourite planes return one day. I did have fun trying to find all the yellow planes.
Worcester
The building work continues on the house but thankfully the end is in sight. Due to being stuck at home for most of the summer we have been trying to leave the house more and so last week we decided to go for a wonder around Worcester and a nice lunch out. I did also end up buying quite a few books which I will post about on Saturday.
Webbs of Wychbold
Every year at around this time we go Christmas shopping at Webbs of Wychbold. I love Webbs at Christmas because the displays are always excellent and they have so many amazing decorations. We always end up buying quite a lot of decorations and this year was no exception. I can’t wait to get decorating the house for Christmas now. I also went a little bit crazy in Hobbycraft.
So there are my recent adventures. We are always quite busy on the run up to Christmas as we are both musicians but we hope to fit a few more in before Christmas.
I hope everyone is having a good week so far. I have spent a lot of time today working on my Etsy shop which has been really nice as I really enjoy making bookmarks and creating new things for the shop.
Here are some of the latest products to land in the shop.
The TBR Tickets are definitely the most popular item in the shop so I thought it might be nice to have a Blind Date with a Book option as well. It is always nice getting a mystery book to add to your TBR pile.
The Treble Clef Bookmark has just been put up. I made one of these for a private order and the customer was really pleased with it so I thought I would make some more for the Etsy shop.
I thought it was high time for an update about my Etsy shop. I think this is probably the first update this year so I am rather slacking.
My little shop has been going steady but the most popular item in the shop has definitely been the TBR Tickets. I have sold thousands so far this year and I have had to upgrade my Cricut machine to keep up with demand. I have also received some lovely reviews about these tickets which is always nice to receive.
I have a new Blind Date with a Book parcel available which also comes with a choice of hand creams. I love these hand creams! My personal favourite is the Moringa cream but the others are also fab. These are the perfect size to fit in your handbag.
The musical instrument bookmarks are expanding and I’m hoping to add more instruments soon. The Saxophone and Flute bookmarks have been quite popular so far.
I have been busy with the Etsy shop recently so I thought it was time to show the new things that have been added to the shop. I hate to say it but I have already started stocking Christmas products.
I have been really busy this month with my Etsy store. I have been busy making some new bookmarks and fulfilling orders and I absolute love coming up with new ideas. My last update was in April so I thought it was high time for an update. As usual links are included to the different products.
My love of the musical themed bookmarks continues and I have added a couple more instruments to the line.
I have been busy with Lyra’s Pawsome Books over the last couple of weeks. I have a Christmas stall next week to get ready for and of course I am busy making sure I have plenty of stock for my Etsy site. I know I am still in the very early stages of my little business but I am really enjoying thinking up ideas for products and putting them on my Etsy site.
I have started working on developing Christmas and Birthday cards which I hope to release in the next few days and I am finding the making of the cards and wrapping of the books quite therapeutic in an evening.
Anyway, here are the latest products on my Etsy site.
This book box was inspired by some of the things that I love at Christmas. I love curling up with a Christmas themed book and a mug of mulled wine near Christmas and perhaps some chocolate to snack on later. I also love a Christmas candle and hot chocolate in the evening.
– Brand new paperback book (genre of your choice) – Cat themed puzzle book – Dancing Cat pen holder – Bookmark – Dreamies (flavours vary) – Hot chocolate spoon – Tea bag – Coffee bag – Popcorn – Lotus biscuit – Border biscuits (flavours vary) – Cat shaped post it notes (colours vary) – Black biro
This book box was obviously inspired by Lyra. There are lots of cat themed goodies within this box including a bag of Dreamies for your feline friend. My personal favourite item is the Dancing Cat pen holder and I must admit I have had to stop my husband from pinching them for himself. A percentage of the proceeds from these box sales is also going to Lyra’s favourite charity which is Cats Protection.
Well blogging has not gone well over the last week. Basically I just haven’t had the energy to blog or even read much because of illness. I have been backwards and forwards to the doctors and even had to go to the doctors on my birthday which wasn’t brilliant, oh well, hopefully I am on the mend now.
Due to all the enforced resting I have at least been working on and doing some planning for my Etsy shop because I thought it was high time to get prepping for Christmas. I say my Etsy shop, it is meant to be Lyra’s but she is proving to be pretty useless when it comes to work.
This Advent Calendar contains Christmas books and books to be read all year around. Each book is individually wrapped and numbered so you can count down with your little one to Christmas Day.
