Top 5 Tuesday: Drinks for Reading

Top 5 Tuesday was created by Shanah at Bionic Book Worm, and now being hosted by Meeghan reads.

Hello!

I the last Top 5 Tuesday so much I thought I would take part again this week.

This one is a little tricky for me because I mainly live on Tea but I do drink other things sometimes.

  1. Tea – My go to tea is Twinnings English Breakfast tea with goats milk (I can’t have cows milk). I love reading a book with a massive mug of tea.
  2. Orange squash – I do like an orange squash when I’m not in the mood for water or a hot drink.
  3. Raspberry Iced Tea – This is my favourite go to drink after a long walk and what is the best thing after a long walk? A really good book to read.
  4. Hot chocolate – This is my treat drink whilst reading. A couple of years ago my wonderful husband bought me a velvertiser by Hotel Chocolat for my birthday and I love it. A perfect accompaniment to a Christmas book in front of a nice fire.
  5. Water – Finally, there is water. I am always striving to drink more water but I really struggle sometimes because when it is cold I just want tea.

What are your favourite reading drinks?

Please drop me a link if you have taken part in Top 5 Tuesday and I will head over for a visit.

Happy Reading

If you enjoy reading my blog and would like to make a donation I would be very grateful. Thank you

This and That Thursday

Hello!

This week has been my birthday week and I decided to take a week off from teaching for the first time since April so it has been a lovely week so far.

A birthday book haul post will be appearing soon.

Adventures

This week we went to some English Heritage places and thankfully the weather was wonderful. I also got some good Pokemon Go playing in as well.

Celebrating

Obviously there were some birthday celebrations that involved a little treat which is my all time favourite drink.

Hot Chocolate and Reading

For my birthday I had a Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser and so this has meant some amazing hot chocolates to curl up and read with. So far we have tried salted caramel and hazelnut praline.

Crochet

Another present I had was a crochet pattern and the wool and hook to go with it which my sister gave me. I haven’t done any crochet since I was at uni so this has been a shock to the system. The wool is beautifully soft to work with which is an added bonus. The pattern is for a cowl but at the moment it looks like a beret so this might need to be looked at again, it was all going so well!

I have still been studying this week as well but it has been nice to have a break from teaching.
