Hello!
I hope everyone is having a good weekend so far. I have had a lovely day of music and cake baking.
I had two preordered books delivered this week and I can’t wait to get reading them.
No Friend to this House by Natalie Haynes – Haynes is one of my favourite authors and an auto buy author for me so I am very excited to read this.
Among The Burning Flowers by Samantha Shannon – I love this series so I am excited to read this book. I can’t believe how small it is though!

Hello!
This week has involved a lot of book shopping and a preordered book arriving. I can’t wait to get stuck into reading them all. I went to my favourite bookshops in Bath this week and had one delivery from Waterstones.
Persephone Books
I’m not going to do pictures of these books because they all have the same cover and are never very clear in the pictures. My dream is to own the complete set of Persephone Books and one day read them all.
Mariana by Monica Dickens
Someone at a Distance by Dorothy Whipple
Fidelity by Susan Glaspell
Mr B’s Emporium
I’ve seen some interesting reviews of the Great Eastern Hotel by Ruchir Joshi so I thought I would purchase it and give it a read. The book is huge so it will take me a while.
Unfortunately She Was A Nymphomaniac by Joan Smith looks like a very different history of Rome’s Imperial women.
Toppings and Company Booksellers of Bath
I always try and add another Alison Weir book to my collection and I am thoroughly looking forward to reading Elizabeth The Queen because Elizabeth is my favourite monarch.
Phoenicia Rogerson is a new author for me but I am looking forward to reading her version of Aphrodite.
She Played and Sang by Gillian Dooley looks like a fascinating read about Jane Austen. As a musician myself I am looking forward to reading about Austen’s love of music.
Waterstones
This was my preordered book. R. F. Kuang is a bit of an auto buy author for me so I am very excited to read her new book.

Hello!
I have been busy buying Kindle books this week ready for my holidays and I’m sure I will probably buy a few more before I go. Here are the ones I have bought so far and they are all new authors for me.
Who Is the Liar by Laura Lee Bahr
While The Dark Remains by Joanna Ruth Meyer
Under the Lemon Tree by Emma Cowell
I’m quite excited to get reading these so hopefully I manage to read them whilst on holiday.

Hello!
I hope everyone is having a good weekend so far. I have been looking at Kindle offers to stock up my Kindle ready for my holiday next month. I haven’t found many that appeal to me yet but I will keep looking. Here is what I have gone for so far.
I have always been a fan of Dan Jones so I am looking forward to reading his book on the Plantagenets. I haven’t done much historical reading this year so I am looking forward to getting back into it.

Hello!
I hope everyone is having a good weekend so far. I had a voucher for a Kindle book and I am stocking up my Kindle ready for some holiday reading.
I have got book 6 and 7 left to read and I am hoping to read them this year and finish this fantastic series.
I am really enjoying these short stories and finished the second one this week so I bought the third one to start next week.

Hello!
I had another preordered book delivery this week. I will be honest I had completely forgotten just how many books I had preordered last year!
This one is another by a favourite author and the fourth book of a series I really must start reading soon!
I am determined to start The Bone Season this month and get cracking with this series.

Hello!
My plan to buy less books in 2025 is really not going well so far. There are just so many good books out there!
My two latest purchases are:
Nephthys by Rachel Louise Driscoll is a book I spotted on Bookstagram and really liked the look of so I popped it on preorder and it arrived this week. I really hope it won’t disappoint.
The Mask Falling by Samantha Shannon is purely because I want the set all in hard back. I hate having a mix of hard backs and paperbacks in a series. It really upsets my OCD!

Hello!
I hope everyone is having a good weekend so far. I have managed some lovely reading today and I am very close to finishing my first buddy read of the year.
I had one book arrive this week which was a book that I preordered last year. I love getting preordered books because I forget that I order the books and it is always a nice surprise when they arrive in the post. It is just like a surprise gift to myself!
My new book this week is by an auto buy author for me.
This is definitely going to the top of my TBR pile!

Hello!
I hope everyone is having a good weekend so far. I am trying to buy less books this year but so far this isn’t going well. This week we needed a break from the building work at the house and so we went for a wander around Ironbridge which led to a visit to Ironbridge Bookshop. This obviously led to book buying but I was good and only bought one.
I really enjoy the books by Philip K. Dick so I am looking forward to reading this soon.

Hello!
I hope everyone is having a good weekend so far. This week I realised I had a cash back voucher for a Kindle purchase so obviously that led to me buying a Kindle book and I also had a very important book preordered that arrived on Tuesday.
Kindle Book
I used to be a member of Pottermore and I really enjoyed finding out extra details about the world of Harry Potter so I’m looking forward to having all the facts from Pottermore in one book.
Waterstones Book
I have just finished reading Iron Flame so I really looking forward to reading this next.
