Top Ten Tuesday: Books on my Summer 2025 TBR

Hello!

I have so many books I want to read this Summer and I know I won’t manage even half of what I would like to read but there is no harm in trying. Here are a selection of the ones I would like to read.

I am really into my sci-fi at the moment and quite a few of these are on my Kindle ready for my holiday reading. I can’t wait to finish teaching and get started!

Top Ten Tuesday: Books on My Spring 2025 to-Read List

Hello!

I hope everyone is having a good week so far. I have had a fab day of teaching and reading and managed to finish a book.

I have so many books that I want to read over the next few months so I thought I would take part in today’s Top Ten Tuesday and make a plan for my Spring reading.

Most of these books have been on my TBR for over a year so I’m hoping I can use the Spring to finally read them.

What is on your Spring TBR?

Top Ten Tuesday: How My Reading Habits Have Changed Over Time

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. For more info please check out Jana’s blog.

Hello!

This is an interesting topic because my reading habits have definitely changed over the years and quite a bit this year.

So here is what has changed.

  1. Reading more than one book at once – I used to only read one book at a time and hated reading more than one book at a time. Now I read at least two books at once.
  2. Morning reading – I never used to read in the morning but now I really like to start my day with a moment of quiet which involves my first mug of tea of the day and a good book. Even if it is only a few pages it really helps my day start.
  3. Bookly App – I started using the Bookly App last year and have not looked back since. I really love using the app and seeing my stats for each book. I find I actually read more using the app.
  4. Greek Coffee – I have only ever drank tea but last year when I went to Kos I got a little bit addicted to Greek coffee. Now I love curling up with a book and drinking a Greek coffee. I still drink loads of tea as well.
  5. Hardbacks – My tastes in books has definitely changed because I now much prefer a hardback instead of a paperback. I used to like paperbacks because I could take them anywhere but now I take my Kindle.
  6. Non fiction – I will be honest I never read non fiction unless I was studying something but over the last couple of years I have fallen in love with history books and I really enjoy reading about Ancient Greece and Rome and the Tudor period.
  7. DNF books – I have always struggled to DNF books that I don’t like but I have been making the effort to do it more often and to stop wasting my time on books I don’t like.
  8. TBR Planning – I never used to use a TBR list because I am a mood reader but this year I have really tried to plan some of my reading with my 24 Books in 2024 challenge and monthly TBR. Sometimes I am really good at keeping to the TBR list and sometimes it goes straight out of the window.
  9. Genres – I have always liked historical fiction, sci-fi and fantasy but over the last couple of years I have also started to really enjoy Greek retellings and crime thrillers and have started to read a lot more of these.
  10. Book series – I am useless at completing book series but the past two years I have been making the effort to actually complete the series I start.

What reading habits have changed for you recently?
