Happy 1st November! I hope everyone has had a nice week so far. I’m really hoping November will be a better month on the reading front but we will wait and see.

What I am Currently Reading

I’m enjoying certain chapters with this book and certain chapters are not so good. I just want to know more about the hauntings!

What I have Recently Finished Reading

I really enjoyed both of these. Puss in Books was a very quick read but one I will happily dip into on other occasions.

What I Think I will Read Next

I’m planning to read mainly non-fiction during November but I will need the occasional novel to help me relax from work.

What I am Currently Reading

I started this yesterday and so far I am really enjoying it. The print is rather cramped which makes it harder to read whilst tired but I will keep trying.

What I have Recently Finished Reading

Divine Might took me quite a while to finish but I really enjoyed it. A Stroke of the Pen was an excellent book that I flew through.

What I Think I will Read Next

As per usual I’m not sure what I will read next but these are some possible contenders.

Reading has gone better today, the hour and twenty minute lunch break sat in my car always helps with my reading on Wednesdays.

What I am Currently Reading

I have just started this and I am finding it fascinating. It is really making me see the concept of the Greek gods differently.

What I have Recently Finished Reading

I do love my Dr Ruth Galloway books and this one did not disappoint. Hetty Dorval was an interesting read and a fab introduction to Ethel Wilson.

What I Think I will Read Next

I’m not sure why but I’m still being drawn to more nonfiction reading than fiction. This is quite unusual for me especially when work is in full swing as I usually find fiction more relaxing.

I needed a comfort read this week so I went to my favourite book series. Dr Ruth Galloway never fails to bring a smile to my face.

What I have Recently Finished Reading

I could not put The Beautiful Ones down and I think it must be one of my favourite reads for 2023. I really enjoyed Kings and Queens by Tony Robinson, it was quite interesting to read a book about the monarchy by someone who is clearly quite anti-monarchy.

What I Think I will Read Next

As per usual I have no idea what I will be reading next but here are some possibilities.

The wonderful Jacey Bedford sent me this book for me to read and review and so far I am really enjoying it. It took me a while to get used to the world she has built but now I’m hooked.

What I have Recently Finished Reading

I thoroughly enjoyed Tudor Children and found it really interesting, I will be writing the review soon. The Ice Dragon I read in one sitting and it was quite enjoyable. Here is the review.

What I Think I will Read Next

I’m not sure why but I only really want to read hardbacks at the moment and I’m not sure why. Hence why my selection are all hardbacks that I own.

How is everyone’s week going? I’ve had rather an annoying week so far with work but hopefully things will settle down soon. One good thing is that I have been thoroughly enjoying my recent reads.

What I am Currently Reading

This is my first Nicholas Orme book and I am absolutely loving it. I’m finding out so many interesting facts and probably driving my husband mad by telling him them all.

What I have Recently Finished Reading

Two very interesting books. I found The Wolf-Girl, The Greeks and the Gods by Tom Holland a really interesting take on the Persian Wars.

What I Think I will Read Next

I’m still going for shorter reads but I’m not sure what it will be yet. I recently bought a lot of Tudor history books so I might be reading more of those.

This is my first Tracy Borman book and I am really enjoying it. I love the different approach she has taken for writing about these two amazing women from history.

What I have Recently Finished Reading

I finally finished Babel, yay! It has taken me way too long to finish Babel but I kept taking breaks with it for some reason. Really enjoyed both of these books. Review for 111 Places in Bath that you Shouldn’t Miss is here.

How are you all this week? I seem to have got back into my reading more this week so hopefully this means I can start to catch up with my reading challenges.

What I am Currently Reading

I am thoroughly enjoying this book and I’m finding it so interesting. I have been to Bath quite a lot and have explored a great deal of it but this book has given me quite a list of places I would like to visit on my next visit.

What I have Recently Finished Reading

I finally finished The Trilogy of Cicero! I thoroughly enjoyed this book but I think I would have preferred to have read it in the three separate books rather than one massive book. I read Fireworks by Angela Carter afterwards as I was really craving a short read. Reviews will follow shortly.

What I Think I will Read Next

I’m not sure what I will read next but it will probably be a book on the shorter side as I am really craving shorter books at the moment after reading The Cicero Trilogy.
