I can’t believe we are in the final days of May, it seems to have rushed by. So here is my WWW Wednesday…

What I am currently reading

I love this book so far! I simply cannot put it down, and it is making me want to dig out my Hunger Games books and read them again.

What I recently finished reading

I really enjoyed reading this and I am very excited to read the next one in the series. To read my review click the picture.

What I will read next

As usual I cannot be exactly sure what I will read next but I’m pretty confident it will be Anne Boleyn A King’s Obsession by Alison Weir because I enjoyed Katherine of Aragon The True Queen so much.

Hello! I hope this finds everyone well and enjoying their current reads.

So here is another WWW Wednesday

What I am currently reading

As you can see the list has grown some what. The Iliad is going well and I am finally getting used to the translation. The Greek Myths book is recommended summer reading for my second year of my Masters, it is very in depth and tiny print on very thin paper so I will be honest I am just dipping into it and reading a bit each day. The Alison Weir I started yesterday and I love it and can’t put it down!

What I have recently finished

Only one book finished this week and I loved it! Review will follow shortly.

What I will read next

As usual a random selection of books, it always depends on my mood.

Another good week of reading, here we go…

What I am currently reading

I’m still going with The Iliad but I am almost finished now. The Song of Achilles arrived a couple of days a go and I love it so far. It is a very interesting modern interpretation of an ancient tale.

What I have recently finished reading

I loved both of these books, reading Chitty Chitty Bang Bang was just like been a child again. The Madness of Cambyses was hilarious and very interesting (review to follow shortly).

What I think I will read next

As usual I have random assortment that I might read next or might not, it really depends on what mood I am in.

Still plodding along with Homer but I am enjoying it. The Herodotus is part of some recommended summer reading for the next part of my course.

Absolutely loved The Carpet People but On Chapel Sands drove me mad and to be honest I’m not entirely sure how I finished it.

What I might read next

Another selection of books, hopefully I read one of these next but I seem to be quite picky at the moment change my mind a great deal on what to read next.

I’m back again for another WWW Wednesday, I don’t think I have ever done so many in a row before. It is great getting all this reading in.

So here we go…

What I am currently reading

The Carpet People I had for a Christmas present and I decided that I needed some Pratchett during Lockdown to distract me. The Iliad is a translation I haven’t read before by Barry Powell and I quoted this version in an essay a while back and liked what Powell had done with the text so I decided to have a read.

What did I recently finish

Did really well last week but I will be honest that I could not put down Half a World Away it was brilliant. Review links below

What I think I will read next

I’m finding this tricky at the moment, I’m changing my mind what to read almost daily and it is depending very much on my mood. I’ve given myself quite a few options above but that could all change again so watch this space.

Hello!

This is later in the day than expected but today hasn’t gone exactly to plan, I haven’t felt very well, I’ve been working all hours to get my essays finished and the final straw was a brand new oil radiator blew up in my husbands office. Thankfully my husband was not harmed.

What I am currently reading

I started Picard yesterday and simply cannot put it down! Half A World Away is my Book Club book and it arrived today so will be starting it tonight.

What I recently finished

I finished this a few days ago and it was a hoot! Highly recommend it.

What I will read next

This has been sat on my TBR pile for way too long and as we are stuck in lock down I thought a nice thick book would be perfect.

Literally just started reading this and only one chapter down. So far so good.

Awakens the Darkness by Dianne Duvall

Have been meaning to read this for ages as I do love all of Dianne Duvall’s books. Just started it this morning, fingers crossed I like it.

What I recently finished reading:-

The Family Upstairs by Lisa Jewell

Literally finished this last night and I could not put it down. A really thrilling read with a lot of twists.

Breakfast at Tiffany’s by Truman Capote

I finished this on Monday and I really enjoyed it, although I wasn’t so keen on the short stories at the end.

What I plan on reading next:-

The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood

This is my first planned read on my Goodreads Summer Reading Challenge, I plan on starting it on Friday.
