This is one that is apt for me as I am rather useless at finishing series but I do try. Although it really does frustrate me when an author doesn’t finish the next book in the series and I am desperately waiting for it, mentioning no names George R. R. Martin!
So here are the series that I haven’t managed to finish…
A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin
I flew through this series and enjoyed reading it so much I bought the box sets for two of my nephews to read. However, I am beginning to feel I will never find out the ending due to Martin’s lack of publishing the next books!
The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan
I own nearly the entire series and I am lucky enough to have a signed edition of one of the books but I must admit I have never got beyond book 5. I have tried again and reread the first 3 but then I get distracted and give up. I really like the story though and want to finish it but I’m not a great one for patience sadly.
The Expanse by James S. A. Corey
I started this series just this year and have just finished the second book. So far I absolutely love the series so I am hoping to read them all this year.
Shardlake by C. J. Sansom
Another series I started this year and hope to continue with.
Six Tudor Queens by Alison Weir
I love this series and can’t wait for Weir to finish writing the last book in the series.

I only know some of these but they’re really great books! I haven’t finished so many series.. Some like the Eve Duncan series by Iris Johanson have So many books that it’s just crazy. Thank you for your hard work!

Thank you. I know I think that is what puts me off sometimes, when there are so many books it feels like you are reading the same series forever.

It really does feel that way.. but it’s the gems you find in between that make it so much fun. The new take on an old favorite, a sudden twist, or the really original ideas.. I love it. 🤭

Besides Wheel of Time I also have not finished The Expanse, but I’m still doubting if I want to haha! I think the first book went a bit over my head.. maybe I should try it again 🙂

Oh I love The Expanse so far, I think watching the series has really helped me get into the books.
