I must admit I am starting to panic that I might not finish my challenge. I only have December left and that is usually quite a busy month for me work wise.
Building the massive stack was very difficult as I was fighting to stop it falling over. It now involves me holding it up and my husband helping to build the stack.
Only 6 books were added this month and sadly some of these were rather thin books.
The stack now measures at 52 inches high. 15 inches to go and last month I only read a total of 3.5inches! The stack doesn’t count my digital books so I could find a way of including those to help the total.

Review
I bought this book on my recent trip to Hay on Wye because I was intrigued to see what ghost stories there were about where I live and near by.
The book is only short but it gives a great description of the places that are supposedly haunted and what kind of hauntings have taken place. The book begins in Shrewsbury with the haunted pubs and then moves on to the other places in Shrewsbury that have ghost stories. The book then moves on to the other haunted towns in Shropshire.
The last two chapters focus on two legends ‘The Roaring Bull’ and ‘The Legend of Wild Edric” and they go into a greater depth than the previous chapters have.
I enjoyed this book and really want to visit some of the places mentioned however I would have liked a bit more depth on each place but I understand that the book is just an introduction into the different hauntings. The book has definitely made me want to learn more about the hauntings and actually mentions some more books that go into greater detail that I think I will hunt down and read. I give this book 3 out of 5 Dragons.

This weeks choice of book is from my Christmas TBR pile again. The Christmas TBR has also grown by three books so it looks like I will have a busy December.

I read another book by Elaine Everest last Christmas and really enjoyed it so I am hoping for an enjoyable read with this book as well.

I hope everyone has had a good week. I have had a good week sorting out Christmas presents and I am actually starting to feel like I am a little ahead, instead of my usual panic on the week leading up to Christmas.

I have not taken part in Top 5 Tuesday for months and months! I’m not sure why as I really love reading everyone’s posts each week.
There are a lot of books I planned to read in 2021 and have not managed to but I will choose the ones that I want to read the most.
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid – This has been on my TBR for so long and yet still it remains unread. I really doubt I will get it read before the end of year but I live in hope.
The Night She Disappeared by Lisa Jewell – I love Lisa Jewell and was very excited when I bought this book. Hopefully I will read it soon.
Something to Live For by Richard Roper – This came as one of my books from Willoughby Book Club and I will be honest it wouldn’t have been a book I would have chosen myself but after reading the blurb and the reviews I really want to read it.
The Dream Weavers by Barbara Erskine – This was one I found in Waterstones and I liked the look of.
Troy by Stephen Fry – I have read many different translations of Homer’s Iliad over the years so it will be interesting to see what Stephen Fry has done with this wonderful classic.
