I’m back again for another WWW Wednesday, I don’t think I have ever done so many in a row before. It is great getting all this reading in.

So here we go…

What I am currently reading

The Carpet People I had for a Christmas present and I decided that I needed some Pratchett during Lockdown to distract me. The Iliad is a translation I haven’t read before by Barry Powell and I quoted this version in an essay a while back and liked what Powell had done with the text so I decided to have a read.

What did I recently finish

Did really well last week but I will be honest that I could not put down Half a World Away it was brilliant. Review links below

What I think I will read next

I’m finding this tricky at the moment, I’m changing my mind what to read almost daily and it is depending very much on my mood. I’ve given myself quite a few options above but that could all change again so watch this space.

It’s that time again, I will be honest I haven’t read as much as I was planning because I can’t seem to settle to anything. I keep flitting between one thing and the next.

Yes, it is still Picard, I am now half way through and it is proving to be an excellent book.

Really enjoyed this quick read of short stories. Here is the review.

Oh dear, you will remember that last week I planned to start Half a World Away but I was naughty and didn’t so that must be started ASAP for book club.

Hello!

This is later in the day than expected but today hasn’t gone exactly to plan, I haven’t felt very well, I’ve been working all hours to get my essays finished and the final straw was a brand new oil radiator blew up in my husbands office. Thankfully my husband was not harmed.

What I am currently reading

I started Picard yesterday and simply cannot put it down! Half A World Away is my Book Club book and it arrived today so will be starting it tonight.

What I recently finished

I finished this a few days ago and it was a hoot! Highly recommend it.

What I will read next

This has been sat on my TBR pile for way too long and as we are stuck in lock down I thought a nice thick book would be perfect.

I hope everyone is well and getting lots of reading done whilst we are all at home. I myself have managed to get a bit more reading done recently. So here is my WWW Wednesday…

What I am currently reading

Just the one book at the moment but I am dipping into several poetry books. I was planning on reading another book before this but I changed my mind.

What I recently finished reading

Two of the books I read for my course and I will admit I loved the Euripides! I finally finished The Enterprise War which has taken me forever and to be honest I am glad that is over as it just dragged so much.

What I will read next

I will put these two on the list but who knows as I do tend to change my mind. I had planned to read The Lantern Men next but decided to stick with Star Trek so we will wait and see what happens when I finish my current read.

Hello!

I haven’t done one of these for ages, mainly because my reading has been so pitiful but I am slowly reading more and getting back into it again. Fingers crossed it continues, but I doubt I will read as much as I did last year.

What I am currently reading

I have been reading the Star Trek Discovery books and really enjoying them, this is my light reading. The Euripides plays are my homework for my course but I love reading them. I must admit I am becoming quite a fan of Greek Tragedy.

What I finished reading recently.

Two tiny books but at least I have finished them! I loved them both!

What I will read next

I love Elly Griffiths and have been desperate to read this, so this will definitely be next.

It’s that time again! I hope everyone is having a good week so far. I myself have been busy reading and thoroughly enjoying it, although I really do need to get back into studying, it has been nice to have a little break after my assignment hand in.

What I am currently reading

I have literally just started this so can’t really say much about it so far. I hope it proves to be good.

What I recently finished reading

It has been a busy week on the reading front, I really enjoyed all three of these books and reviews will shortly follow. My favourite out of the three was probably A Very Country Christmas.

What I think I will read next

Looking forward to this book and I have been desperate to read it but wanted to leave it till it was closer to Christmas. I can’t wait any longer though!

I’m very happy because I have managed to get quite a bit of reading in over the last week. I hope everyone else is having a good December so far.

What am I currently reading?

I’m reading A Literary Christmas in bits so I am basically dipping into it when I want something festive to read.

Twas the Nightshift Before Christmas is going OK so far even if it is making me grimace in places.

What I recently finished reading

I finished these three books basically at the same time I enjoyed them all but my favourite of the three was Christmas on the Little Cornish Isles by Phillipa Ashley.

What I plan on reading next

I am rather excited about these two books and I’m not sure which I will read first so I have put them both up.

Christmas on the Little Cornish Isles by Phillipa Ashley

I started this a few days ago and so far really enjoying it, fingers crossed it continues that way.

One Day In Winter by Shari Low

I’m still going with this one but as it is on my phone and I only really read it when I’m waiting for students to turn up it isn’t going very fast. However, I am enjoying it and I am averaging a chapter a day.

What I recently finished reading

Finished this a few days ago and really enjoyed it. A great book to dip into or read straight through. My review is here.

What I think I will read next

I recently bought both these books and I know I am Christmas reading but I do not think I have enough Christmas books to see me through till Christmas. I need to pad my list out a bit with none Christmas books.

One Day in Winter by Shari Low

This is a new author for me and I got the book for free on Apple books. I’m only two chapters in but so far it seems to be going ok.

A Very Murderous Christmas by various authors

I have read six stories so far and so far absolutely loving the book!

What I finished reading recently

Venus and Adonis by William Shakespeare

I finished this on Monday and sadly I found it a really disappointing read and I feel like a bad person for saying it because it is by William Shakespeare!

The Janus Stone by Elly Griffiths

I loved this book so much, it kept me hooked from beginning to end. I highly recommend it.

What I plan on reading next

The Night I Met Father Christmas by Ben Miller

This arrived at the weekend and I am so excited to read it after my best friend told be about it. I must be well behaved though and wait till I have finished at least one of the books I am currently reading.

The Janus Stone by Elly Griffiths

As some of you may know I do love books by Elly Griffiths and this is no exception, I am racing through this book.

Venus and Adonis by William Shakespeare

I’ve set myself the challenge to read more Shakespeare, as I have only read his work that I had to at school, so far this is proving to be an interesting if slightly long winded read.

The Testaments by Margaret Atwood

Really enjoyed this and could not put it down. Fantastic read.

The House with a Clock in its Walls by John Bellairs

Another great read, that I polished off in a few hours.

What I think I will read next:-

This is always a tricky question for me as I generally always change my mind, so apologies if I don’t stick with my first choices.
