I hope everyone is having a good week so far. I started the Diabetes Uk Step Challenge this week so my spare time has involved a lot of walking so far this week but I have managed a good bit of reading today as well.

What I am Currently Reading

I took a little break from these last week but today I have been completely absorbed with Lord of Chaos. Queens of the Age of Chivalry is plodding along nicely and I am learning loads!

What I have Recently Finished Reading

I will be honest and say I did struggle to get into this book but I’m glad I persevered. Review will follow soon.

What I Think I will Read Next

There are so many books that I want to read currently. I’m really hoping once teaching slows down I can get some real reading in.

Hello!

I hope everyone has had a good day today. I have been at school all day but I have managed to read a page of my book every 20 minutes when my students change over. I read this page whilst marching on the spot to get my step count up, this got me a very strange look from the head when she walked in to collect something from the room.

What I am Currently Reading

I am thoroughly enjoying The Hedgerow! Parrish’s writing style just reminds me of Dorothy Whipple and I love it. Lord of Chaos is still plodding along but the story is getting slower and slower.

What I have Recently Finished Reading

I could not put this book down and pretty much devoured it over the weekend. Review will be appearing this week.

What I Think I will Read Next

I’m doing quite well with my reading so far this month and I really hope it continues as I am so behind with my challenges. Hopefully, one of these books will be my next read.

I hope everyone is having a good week so far. I have actually managed to finish a book today which felt good as it seems to be such a rare occurance for me at the moment.

What I am Currently Reading

I’m about 50 pages into Where the Crawdads Sing and so far so good. I’ve always been a bit nervous about reading this book because of the hype it has received and I am so often let down by books with a lot of hype. Fingers crossed it lives up to the hype. Lord of Chaos is still plodding along but I’m only managing about 10 pages a night before I fall asleep.

What I have Recently Finished Reading

I finished this book this morning and the review will follow soon. I enjoyed the book but there were a few areas I wasn’t keen on.

What I Think I will Read Next

I really need to get moving on my reading challenges so most of my planned reading is from my 24 Books in 2024 challenge currently.

I hope everyone is having a great week so far. I am having a fab week and it is mainly because my reading has been going so well. I finally feel like I have got my reading mojo back, I just hope it lasts as this year has not been going well so far.

What I am Currently Reading

I have been thoroughly enjoying my night time reading of the Lord of Chaos, it finally feels like the series might be going somewhere after the lack of action in book 5. I started Destination Maisie today and so far I am really enjoying it.

What I have Recently Finished Reading

My review of A History of the Roman Empire in 21 Women is here. I just finished Accidental Dragons today so hopefully I will get the review up tomorrow. I absolutely loved these two books which I think was the reason I read them so quickly.

What I Think I will Read Next

I’m so excited to read these books and I’m not entirely sure which one I will read but it will definitely be one of these.

This seemed to take forever to finish and I now remember why this book put me off continuing with the series when I last read it. I’m not giving up this time though so I will continue onwards with the series.

I hope everyone is having a good week so far. I am desperately trying to up my reading at the moment as I am really missing it but I keep getting bad headaches which I suspect means I need new glasses. Hopefully I can get to the opticians soon to get it sorted.

I’m getting closer to the ending of The Fires of Heaven and really enjoying it, I have been finding it a bit of slog but now it is finally picking up. A History of the Roman Empire in 21 Women is proving to be a very interesting read.

What I am Currently Reading

Tomorrow I will probably start another book to run along side this one but at the moment I am just reading The Fires of Heaven. I will be honest my reading of this book hasn’t been going exactly according to plan but over the last few days I have really made a push with it so I can catch up slightly.

What I have Recently Finished Reading

I finished this just a few hours ago and I absolutely loved it! I will be writing up the review soon but I can’t wait to read more books by Whipple.

What I Think I will Read Next

I will be honest and say that I actually think I will be reading A Gentleman in Moscow next but you never know what mood I will be in tomorrow.

I hope everyone is having a good week so far. I have now finished teaching for a bit so I am hoping to get loads of reading done. I’m actually quite impressed with my reading so far this week.

What I am Currently Reading

I’m still doing my daily reading of The Fires of Heaven but I will be honest that I am not always managing a chapter. Cleopatra and Frankenstein is now a 100 pages in and I’m still not sure whether I like it or not. I will continue with it for a little longer.

What I have Recently Finished Reading

Absolutely loved these two books! Review for Nightflyers will hopefully be posted tomorrow. Review for Blade Breaker is here.

What I Think I will Read Next

As per usual I am never entirely sure what I will read next but it is highly likely it might be one of these books.
