Mid Week Quote: Euripides

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

I hope everyone is having a good week so far.

This weeks quote is by Euripides who was born in Athens around 485 BCE. Euripides was a playwright who is thought to have written around ninety tragedies but sadly only nineteen have survived. The quote is taken from one of Euripides plays which only fragments survive of, it is about a young man thwarting his wicked stepmother’s plan to kill him.

“Whoso neglects learning in his youth, loses the past and is dead for the future.”

Euripides

Happy reading.
