It is that time again! So the massive stack of books is getting rather precarious and this time the photo involved me having to stand behind the stack to stop it toppling over. I currently prefer reading big books at the moment so hopefully that will help the stack grow.
I read 5 physical books this month so that has helped the height.
So here is the new stack. Apologies for the crazy hair it is a bad hair day. Lyra also decided to join the fun.
The new stack is 29.5 inches high! Just 37.5 inches to go, still haven’t reached the half way mark.
Here are the pictures from the previous months. Look at that stack grow!
Happy Reading!

Some of you might have read that I have been attempting to read all of the Agatha Christie novels in order of publication but I haven’t really made it into a challenge but I have decided that it needs to be a challenge because I like ticking things off lists. This challenge only includes Christie’s full length novels and not her books of short stories.
So here is the big list of books. The crossed off titles are the ones I have already read and reviewed, click them to be taken to the review.
It is time for an update on my challenge. I must admit this month I have been getting quite excited about how high the pile has been growing, I almost thought it was at half way. However, when I took the picture I soon realised my mistake. My darling husband has worked out a way of counting the digital books I read. Amazon lists the dimensions of physical books, so I can use the dimensions off Amazon to work out the height of the stack with the digital books as well. I will work this out and include them in next month’s total.
I read 4 physical books in May and thankfully some of them were quite thick books.
So here is the new pile.
The new pile is exactly 24 inches high. Just 43 inches to go!
Here are the pictures from January, February, March and April.
Happy Reading!

Yes, it is that time again, it is time for the monthly update of Reading My Height in Books. I keep plodding along hoping I will manage the challenge but I will be honest, I’m already behind on my Goodreads challenge and know full well that time is my biggest problem.
I read 5 books in April and they were all physical books so that has helped the height. So here is the new pile.
The new height is 18.5 inches just 48.5 inches to go!

Now I know I have already set myself the challenge to read all the works of Shakespeare and I am also trying to read every book written by Agatha Christie in order of publication but I have found a new challenge and one that I really want to do as I am a little bit addicted to to the books I have read so far. Yes, I want to read all the Maigret novels! My husband owns three Folio Society Maigret books that I bought him a few years back and I read them last week and wanted to read more and discovered that Penguin have released all the Maigret books with some very nice covers. This can only mean one thing, I must collect and read all these wonderful books!
The Maigret books only average 150 pages each and can easily be read in one sitting so I think they will be quick reads and I will be honest the last three I read were what I call ‘light relief’ reading which will be useful when I am trying to write a dissertation.
I have ordered the first three in the series and I can’t wait to start reading them.
Here are the reviews from the three Maigret books I have already read:
I hope everyone has had a wonderful Easter weekend. I have had a lovely day today reading and going for a walk in the sunshine.
So I thought it was high time for an update on my Reading My Height in Books. I still haven’t worked out whether to include my digital books somehow. I only read one digital in March and it was only 159 pages so not too much of a loss. Thankfully, I managed to read four physical books so that has added to the height of the pile. I have also realised I need to store said pile as it grows through the year so it looks like it will have to hide in a corner of our living room.
So here is the pile!
For some reason I am not looking at the camera but I have never been any good at having my picture taken.
The pile is now at 13.5 inches just 53.5 inches left to go!
Here are the pictures from January and February as you can see progress is going rather slowly.
Hopefully, I can get some more books read this month!
It is time for my monthly update on my reading challenge. Now I have noticed a little problem with my challenge and that is digital books. Last year I barely read a digital book and this year just because I have set myself this challenge there is a load of digital books I want to read! The question is do I count them in my challenge and if I do, how? So what do my fellow book dragons think? What should I do?
Anyway, until I make a decision here is my monthly update of the growing pile of books that I hope to get the same height as me this year. These are the books from January and February. The height is now 8.5 inches. I added 2.5 in February.
