I hope everyone has had a good weekend. Sadly the blogging hasn’t gone very well this week and neither has the reading but hopefully I will get back on track next week.
I hope everyone has had a good weekend. I am back at work tomorrow after half term and although I have still worked a little bit over the week it will be a shock to be back full swing from tomorrow.
I had a little break from this over half term to read some books linked to the Jubilee and to finish another book that I have been reading for a very long time. However, I am back to reading it now so hopefully I will make some head way this week.
Happy Reading

I hope everyone is having a good weekend so far. My weekend has been very busy work wise but I’m hoping to get a bit of reading in tonight, if I don’t fall straight asleep.
I hope everyone is well and looking forward to Easter with all the yummy goodies that come with Easter. I am particularly enjoying the Marmite and Cheese Hot Cross Buns by Marks and Spencers, my husband is horrified.
Anyway, here is what I have been up to recently.
Adventures
I met up with my best friend last week which was wonderful. This meet up meant lots of yummy pizza and cake and spending far too much money in Waterstones. The weather was terrible but that just meant more time sheltering in the book shop.
Walking
For Lent my husband and myself have been trying to do more walking. Our day off from walking is Sunday but otherwise we put our walking boots on and off we go. Most of the walks have been local which has been lovely because we get to say hello to the local horses and lambs. We have also gone to different locations for a change as well and one of these was a Gruffalo walk which was very exciting.
Yummy Lunch and Pipe Organ Builders
My husband and myself are both church organists and this week we had an opportunity to go around an organ builders which I must admit was a bit worried about but it was very interesting. Before we went though we fortified ourselves by going to lunch at a local french restaurant and i had two of my all time favourite dishes, French onion soup followed by Mussels and fries.
I have more adventures planned for next week as I have the week off from teaching so I plan on making the most of the free time.

I have seen this tag in the book blog world quite a bit recently and decided I would give it a go, as it looked fun.
How many books are you planning to read in 2022?
My Goodreads goal is 60 books which is slightly lower than usual. Usually I aim for 70 books but this year I have some pretty hefty books planned on my TBR, so I thought with the higher page count I would most likely read less books.
2. Name 5 books that you didn’t get to in 2021 but want to make a priority in 2022.
Oh dear, there are so many books to choose from! My selected 5 are:
The Doll Factory by Elizabeth Macneal
The Night She Disappeared by Lisa Jewell
Lore by Alexandra Bracken
I, Claudius by Robert Graves
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid
3. What genre do you want to read more of?
I really want to get back into my classics this year, so I plan to read more books published in the 1700’s and 1800’s.
4. Name 3 non book related goals for 2022.
To pass at least one exam on the ukulele
To get the planned home improvements started and finished.
To do more performance work.
5. What’s a book you’ve had forever that you still need to read?
This is a tricky question because I have so many. I very rarely get rid of books and I would never get rid of a book that I have never read. The book I will choose though is The Man in the Iron Mask by Alexandre Dumas.
6. One word that your hoping 2022 will be: adventurous.
7. Tag a friend!
If you like the look of this Book Tag consider yourself tagged!

I hope everyone is well. I have an outdoor Carol service later where I will be playing keyboard and I must admit I am not looking forward to how cold it will be. I am one of these people who is always cold.
Anyway, here is my update for all things blog related for this week.
